Kris Goodie is a Vallejo-based portrait painter who works in watercolor, creating highly detailed portraits of transgender and queer subjects. Their practice relies on controlled layering and precise drybrush to capture the presence of each sitter. Goodie’s work focuses on identity, resilience, and the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ communities. 

In 2023, they earned a BA in Art Practice from UC Berkeley, receiving the Wendy Sussman Memorial Award for excellence in painting. Their work has been exhibited across the San Francisco Bay Area, including the 120710 Art Gallery in Berkeley. Goodie is currently developing a portrait series featuring transgender and queer individuals residing in Northern California.
