Kris Goodie identifies as trans non-binary and is a portrait painter known for depicting members of the transgender and queer communities. They began painting with watercolors at a young age and have since developed their own unique style. Using delicate brushwork and a limited color palette, they meticulously record their subjects’ distinctive personalities. Goodie’s portraits engage the viewer with direct gaze, evoking a sense of agency and familiarity. In 2023, they received a BA in Art Practice from the University of California, Berkeley. Goodie is based in Vallejo, California and their work has been featured in several galleries in the San Francisco Bay Area.
